Blue Sky Cellar Reopening

On January 28th after some down time and refurb work, Blue Sky Cellar in Disney California Adventure opened up with a great new exhibit. There’s nothing more exciting for a Disney Park enthusiast than to have access to previews and inside park information for attractions and rides to come. Its no secret that Disney California Adventure has been a complete construction zone for a while but finally its in the mid phases of production where we can see some of these new additions to the park magically appear before our eyes in raw form.

The new exhibit at Blue Sky Cellar in Disney California Adventure is not an over all revamp of its original purpose but instead an extension or update if you will, regarding the expansion plans for the park. Now that many of the new attractions and additions are already far into their construction, Disney is able to give their guests and fans a more concrete lay out of their plans elevating the concept artwork we saw in the past, to more of a realistic preview of what’s to come.

One of the coolest updates in the Blue Sky Cellar is a 3D animated map reflecting a finished Disney California Adventure Park. The map includes the completed new entrance of the park replicating Buena Vista Street of the 1920’s as well as the cable car route, Cars Land, Little Mermaid and the West Side Boardwalk area around Goofys Sky School (formally Mulholland Maddness).

If you have a good 10 minutes to spare, take a seat and watch the new video based on all of the new attractions and behind the scenes footage from concept to construction. The walls in the entrance room now don new pictures for The Goofy Sky School as well as Little Mermaid.

All in all, I think I can speak for all fans when I say, “Thank You Disney for allowing us the opportunity to follow you on a step by step journey to a new and improved Disney California Adventure Park.”

Next time you’re at Disney California Adventure Park, be sure to stop on in at Blue Sky Cellar and get the low down on what’s really going on and what to look forward to.
