Six Flags Magic Mountain Reviews

Six Flags Magic Mountain- Green Lantern & DC Universe

On July 1st Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California, will be unveiling their newest themed area, DC Universe as well as opening their 18th roller coaster, Green Lantern First Flight.  ThemeParkSource was cordially invited to attend the Press and Media Preview on June 30thand we definitely showed up lock, loaded and ready to cover this epic event. The event began with the drop curtain unveiling of the newly themed area, DC UNIVERSE.  Upon curtain drop press was lead into DC UNIVERSE by Justice League super heroes . The new DC UNIVERSE features newly themed rides, branded merchandise and specialty food. As guests enter the grand portal, they’re greeted by a bright and colorful comic-book-inspired world, featuring WONDER WOMAN Lasso of Truth, where riders twirl high in the air plastered to the wall at a 45-degree angle;

Goliath

Six Flags Magic Mountain is home to the top thrill rides in the country. My personal favorite Mega Coaster in this park is Goliath. Goliath was built by, Giovanola and B&M in the year 2000 and holds the record for the highest drop at 255ft at top speeds of 85mph making it the best adrenaline-pumping ride in the park. Located in the front of the park, adjacent to and towering over the mighty Colossus, Goliath provides one of the most beautiful views of the park at its highest peak before dropping at an unbelievable height.

Lets begin our ride, shall we?

Superman Escape From Krypton

On March 19th I had the extreme pleasure of attending this years West Coast Bash event, at Six Flags Magic Mountain. This event is held annually in the park for theme park enthusiasts. One of many highlights offered during this event included a ride on the newly revamped Superman Ride, now called Superman Escape From Krypton. I was very impressed with the changes and updates made to the coaster.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Review

My personal quick review of this park is overall positive. I do warn that you should keep your expectations for this park separate from other parks you have grown accustom to. This parks emphasis is on delivering mass entertainment and overloading the senses, relying on their attractions to do so. It’s more of a serve yourself buffet with servers there to only assist in waving you in the right direction if needed. For example some of us may be used to being told where to stand in line or asked how many in our party so you can ride all together. This is not done here. You are responsible for coordinating all this on your own and you better be fast about it, otherwise your going to experience a lot of snooze you lose situations.
