Six Flags Magic Mountain Review

My personal quick review of this park is overall positive. I do warn that you should keep your expectations for this park separate from other parks you have grown accustom to. This parks emphasis is on delivering mass entertainment and overloading the senses, relying on their attractions to do so. It’s more of a serve yourself buffet with servers there to only assist in waving you in the right direction if needed. For example some of us may be used to being told where to stand in line or asked how many in our party so you can ride all together. This is not done here. You are responsible for coordinating all this on your own and you better be fast about it, otherwise your going to experience a lot of snooze you lose situations.Although this is a family friendly park, be sure to understand the parent ride switch rules correctly as they are offered but it can get a little chaotic. Try and have a designated non extreme rider in your group if possible so they can stay out with kids or go on other rides with them while you’re getting your adrenaline rush on. Lots of people scoff at planned itineraries when going on vacation but the very least you should do is study the ride ratings before hand and plan your ride strategy from there, as there are a few rides that may have a height
requirement that your kid or kids don’t meet yet. Wear your best walking shoes because the park terrain
itself is a challenge. If you’re not a walker or have injuries or ailments that could flare up by walking,
then please do not be too proud to rent a Mobility Scooter, your body will thank you. Other must s in
your park pack arsenal; Aspirin or Ibuprofen, Wet Wipes, sun block, antibacterial hand gel, dollar bills or
quarters for lockers, Pepto or antacid, hand towel and a phone holder that fastens to you somehow.

If it has been a while since you have ridden an extreme coaster, be ready to experience some slight body
soreness or discomfort. Adhere to the ride rules and directions regarding feet flat, head back and arms in.
I myself have zero neck control so I did suffer a major migraine after a few rides, thank god I brought my
Excedrin. If you’re big up top expect those harnesses to hurt a bit. Be sure to read my upcoming article
regarding this very subject, “Tips for protecting your C+ cups while riding”. The only other suggestion I
have at this time is to study the park map. This park is huge and can turn into a maze of madness if not
navigated correctly. Save your energy and try and hit all the rides in the same area at once or else you’re
gonna be doing some unnecessary long distance zigzagging.

All in all, whether you’re looking for an intense adrenaline overload or just a great time with the family,
this park has it all. Jayjay gives Magic Mountain two very cute thumbs up with a wink and a sparkly
smile!!!! Oh and whatever you do, don’t miss riding X2 and yes it is worth the hour-two hour wait.
WARNING: You definitely will have to check your shorts after riding.
