Universal Studios Hollywood / Universal City Walk: Date Night

It’s a night on the town! And that town is Hollywood on this theme park date.  As before with Date Night Disneyland, I’ll be taking you through an evening's entertainment for you and that special someone, so here we go.

First, we need to eat.  I’m personally a fan of sushi so I always hit up Wasabi, a top-notch sushi and Japanese restaurant. I recommend sitting on the patio; it’s heated and the service is good, so you don’t have to worry about being forgotten about.

If raw fish is not your thing, they also offer a full line of tempura (fried things) and other Japanese staples. If you just can’t get into any of that, then I suggest Karl Strauss Brewing Company.  This brew pub features the beers from our local California brewer Karl Strauss.  These ales are all handcrafted in the micro-brew fashion.  The menu might not be very adventurous, but if you're a beer fan, you won’t care.

Secondly, we need something to do.  Now there is a movie theater, but everybody goes to the movies on a date.  I suggest for something different at Universal City Walk, you go to Jillian's Hi Life Lanes for some bowling.  With not only bowling, but also state-of-the-art video games, and an inviting atmosphere; it’s sure to have something fun for everyone.

If you're going to enter Universal Studios itself, I suggest the studio tour with the new King Kong segment, or perhaps, just a stroll around to walk off dinner. If you decide in favor of the stroll, check out the pub located in the European town area, or you could take the escalators to the lower section and ride The Mummy Returns and Jurassic Park.  There are so many possibilities at Universal Studios and Universal City Walk; the only advice I can give you is just do what you like. There is something for everyone, and I’m sure we will be visiting this destination for Date Night in the future for Theme Park Source.
